Chocolate energy squares

This is the perfect tasty energy snack to have right before your intense cardio sessions.  When you taste this amazing energy square you wont believe that the ingredients will give you energy and protein.  Just have a small square to spike your energy slightly ready for breaking cardio records.  Enjoy!

Ingredients

10 dates
2 cups nuts (almonds and cashew mix)
1 cup blueberries
1 cup coconut oil
3 cups dark chocolate
1 12'inch by 6'inch 3' inch deep dish

Method of cooking
1-
In a food processor blend the dates and the nuts together until it becomes fine powder.
2- Using a small saucepan add the blueberries, coconut oil and chocolate and turn up the heat to melt into a sauce.
3- Once the mixture becomes a sauce turn off the heat and mix the powdered dates and nuts to the sauce.
4- Mix thoroughly then add the mixture to the dish and place in the fridge until it becomes a solid block.  Slice off little squares when needed before your workouts.

Vegan fit power salad

Are you looking for a salad full of good healthy ingredients and packed with protein?  The vegan fit power salad has everything you need and is very quick to make.  Enjoy!

Ingredients
1 packet black bean flavored tofu or half block of tofu diced into cubes.
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup black olives
1 cup wholewheat pasta
2 cups cold water
1 cup washed spinach
1/4 chopped red onion

for the dressing
1/2 teaspoon crushed garlic
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon agave syrup
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1 teaspoon hot sauce optional

Method of cookery
1-
Add 1 tablespoon of oil to a small frying pan and add the tofu stir fry for a few minutes then remove to cool.
2- In a small saucepan add the pasta and the water and bring to boil for approx 5 minutes then drain and add cold water to cool.
3- Add the cooked tofu, olives, pasta, spinach and red onion to a mixing bowl.
4- In a small bowl make the dressing mixing together the garlic, olive oil, agave syrup, vinegar and hot sauce.  Once mixed pour it over the salad and mix it in generously then serve.  Enjoy!
